Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) Admission Process & Eligibility Criteria: JNU offers more than 100 courses at the UG, PG Certificate, Diploma, Advanced Diploma and Doctoral Level. JNU conducts its entrance examination for admission to the PhD program. Apart from the usual reservation for the backward classes and people with physical disabilities. JNU also has a provision to offer up to 15% of the seats in each program of study to foreign nationals.

Steps for the JNU Admission Process 2025

JNU’s Admission process is entrance-based. Admission to various UG and PG courses is through CUET -UG and CUET -PG, respectively, at JNU. Download the JNU admit card to appear for the JNU CUET UG and JNU CUET PG tests.

Step 1: JNU Application Process 2025

Online registration is the first step of JNU course admission. Eligible candidates can apply through the JNU official website. Candidates applying to courses through CUET should have selected JNU as their preference during the CUET application process.

Step 2: Selection Rounds/ Release of Selection List

After the conclusion of the application process, the candidates are shortlisted based on their respective entrance exam scores. These shortlisted candidates are then required to take part in the selection rounds, such as group discussions and personal interview rounds.

Step 3: Counselling

Selected candidates have to participate in the JNU counselling for course admission. During the counselling verification, seat allotment is carried out.

Step 4: Admission Confirmation

In the Last step, selected candidates may have to go through a document verification round. The candidates can be asked to pay some amount of the fees to confirm their seat.

The University offers various courses at the postgraduate level. JNU Delhi’s PG courses include M.A., M.Sc. M.Tech, MCA, M.P.H and Post Graduate Diploma Programmes.

M.A Bachelor`s degree in any discipline with at least 50% marks + JNUEE/CUET PG scores
MBA Graduation from a recognised board
M.Sc B.Sc or equivalent degree in the relevant subject with 55% marks
M.C.A. Bachelor`s degree in any discipline in Mathematics with at least 55% marks
M.Tech B.Tech degree in the relevant subject with 55% marks
M.P.H. M.B.B.S degree in the relevant subject with 55% marks or M.Sc degree in Nursing  with 55% marks
P.G.D m.Sc/B.Tech/BE in Physics/Chemistry/Mathematics/Computer Science/ Statistics/Operations research/Life science/Biotechnology/Bioinformatics-related disciplines with 55% marks.
